Spencer Neal, AIF®, C(k)P®
As a founding member of Leading Edge Wealth Advisors, Spencer specializes in providing clients with expert retirement planning and wealth management advice. He brings more than twenty-five years of experience and a unique passion for financial services to the group, becoming interested in investing at a young age because his parents stressed the importance of saving.
Spencer focuses on the coaching aspect of financial planning and investment management. He enjoys building a personal relationship with each of our clients, learning their unique goals and interests and assisting them in implementing a plan designed to help them achieve financial independence. In addition, Spencer heads our research efforts in individual equities and industry sector trends.
Spencer’s passion and inspiration for investing was instilled in him by his grandfather, who taught him to invest in companies that you believe in and use in your daily life.
Spencer is a graduate of Clemson University and received a Certificate of Financial Planning from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2001. In addition, he has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation and his Certified 401(k) professional designation.
Originally from Birmingham, Michigan, Spencer, a cycling, golf, and boating enthusiast, now lives in Trappe, Maryland, with his wife Rachel, and their three children.
Within the community, Spencer served as the Chairman for University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC) Foundation for four years and still sits on the board. In addition, he served on the UM BWMC Board of Directors. Spencer is also a Leadership Anne Arundel graduate (2008) and previously served on the boards of Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake and Baltimore/DC Clemson University Regional Club.
